How to dry out work boots

How to dry out work boots. During work, your boots can get wet if you walk in the rain or step into puddles. When this happens, you need to find an efficient method to dry them completely so they're ready the next day.

Otherwise, your boots can cause general discomfort and blisters. They may also contain bacteria that can cause foot infections. We'll show you how to dry soaked work boots using three different proven techniques that you can easily do at home.

Drying With a Fan

Air circulation aids the drying process by moving water particles away from the wet object. Since this is the case, placing the boots in front of a fan can quickly reuse them. Before you begin, remove your laces and foam insole, which can be safely placed in a tumble dryer. (You should also clean your boots to prevent mud from damaging them as they dry.)

Once this is done, place your boots on a towel, which will absorb the water droplets. Bend the wires, like hanging wires, into an "s" shape. One end hooks onto the fan's outer frame, while the other end holds the boots by their openings. In this position, air from the fan can blow into the boots. Leave this set up overnight with the fan on the highest setting. Your boots should be ready to wear in the morning.

Drying With a Towel

Towel drying is suitable for thinner boots. As with the fan method of drying water-soaked work boots, remove your laces and insoles and clean your boots before you begin. Then take dry towels and put them in your boots.

With the remainder of the towel hanging off, wrap the boots completely. Put your boots right in front of a fan and check them every now and then until you go to bed. If you notice that the towels are soaked at any point, replace them with new ones.

Drying With Newspaper

This technique is almost identical to the towel drying method, but uses newspaper instead and omits the fan. After you've removed your laces and insoles and cleaned your boots, fill them with newspaper. Later, you need to wrap them completely with newspapers.

Wait a few hours and replace the newspapers if they become soggy. While this is more complicated and can take longer than the fan method, the advantage of this method is that the boots hold their shape better because they don't hang from the threads. They also don't run the risk of overdrying to crack if they're made of leather.
